Making the Switch Easy
Switching to Digs Lettings and Management couldn’t be easier. Our experience and longstanding team mean that our switching process has been fine-tuned over the years to make it easy for you to make the move and hassle free for your tenant.
Once you’ve given notice to your current agent, we take care of everything for you. We’ll contact them to collect all paperwork and compliance documentation as well as arrange the transfer and registration of the tenant’s deposit to our Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
We will introduce ourselves to your tenants providing guidance on their new property manager and rent payment details. We will also visit the property and update you on any issues that may need attention.
FAQs
Do I have to wait to the end of a tenancy before switching?
No you can switch at anytime. It is just a change in agent and your existing tenancy will remain in place. We will get in touch with your tenants to explain what is happening and ensure everything moves across seamlessly.
Do I have to repay the tenants deposit?
No as part of the switching process we will arrange for the deposit to be moved across to our Deposit Scheme.
Can I move to Digs immediately?
It is likely that your current contract will require notice to be given. Once you have given notice, we will start the process so that everything moves across once its completed. You maybe able to negotiate an early release so it is always worth chatting to your existing agent.
I currently manage the property myself, can I switch to Digs?
